REACH is the central part of the European chemical legislation.
REACH is the central part of European chemicals legislation. It is the acronym for Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals. All chemicals placed on the EU market must be registered at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki. Some substances have to be authorized or are restricted in use.

If delivered substances, mixtures or finished articles contain substances classified as SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) (according to Article 59 of REACH) in concentrations of more than 0.1% they must be communicated to the recipient of the respective goods in accordance with the requirements laid out in Article 33 of REACH.
